  16. This newsgroup, comp.std.c, is primarily intended for precise
  17. discussions about the interpretation and future direction of the
  18. ANSI/ISO C Standard, ISO 9899.  If you're looking for discussions
  19. about everyday C programming, you'll probably be more interested
  20. in the newsgroup comp.lang.c, and if you have a *question* about
  21. everyday C programming, you'll want to check comp.lang.c's
  22. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) list first.  (Actually, that FAQ
  23. list has a section on ANSI/ISO Standard C, including several
  24. questions which might be asked here, such as how to obtain copies
  25. of the Standard.)

  27. The comp.lang.c FAQ list is posted on the first of each month to
  28. the newsgroups comp.lang.c, comp.answers, and news.answers (the
  29. latter two are net-wide FAQ list repositories).  An abridged
  30. version is posted both on the first and the fifteenth of each
  31. month.  In most cases, you should be able to retrieve the lists
  32. directly from one of these newsgroups.
